The VX8500-II switcher accepts up to sixteen composite, Y/C, YUV or SDI video sources, sixteen unbalanced or balanced stereo audio sources, and connects any input to any (one or more) of the sixteen outputs with optional volume and tone control.
These presentation routers provide full-matrix switching of multiple levels of video. Active, fully buffered, high bandwidth crosspoint modules allow composite video or S-video to be switched simultaneously without crosstalk.
With the optional volume and tone package, audio controls include volume, bass, treble, balance, input trim and mute. Adjust each output individually for optimal audio quality in any environment. Salvo commands allow adjusting all zones at once.
An optional front panel control with LCD display is available. An RS-232 serial control port is provided as standard and there is also an IP (Ethernet) control option. The VX8500-II is fully compatible with existing Vortex rackmount or desktop controllers and Creston, AMX and Leightronix event and touchscreen controllers.
