The QSD-Plus quad multiviewer accepts four SDI (with embedded audio) or Composite inputs. It is auto sensing and the SDI inputs are available as re-clocked outputs.
Each input can be resized and placed in any position on the screen by the layout manager or front panel control. This offers maximum flexibility to the user in the tile composition and the powerful layout manager is very easy to learn and use. Pre-defined layouts are programmed into the unit for standard output formats or user defined layouts can be saved. The unit powers up with the last layout used.
The QSD-Plus quad multiviewer primary output has 1280x1024 resolution (SXGA) through DVI-D to drive high resolution monitors and projection equipment, and an SDI output is also provided and optionally, composite PAL output. The high-resolution output ensures optimal displayed resolution from standard definition inputs. With four equi-sized output tiles, the images are displayed close to their original resolution.
Dynamic or static “in-monitor” displays are standard and the associated tallies are also displayed in picture. The layout manager allows the position, background and text to be very easily and quickly changed. Loss of input signal warnings are provided.
Embedded audio within an SDI signal may be monitored as audio bars. Optionally, the unit may be provided with inputs for up to eight analogue or digital stereo audio signals where embedded audio is not available.
The control system is very user friendly with a variety of ports to allow external control. The Ethernet port allows control by stand alone PC, or through a local area network. Alternatively serial ports allow integration into Automation systems.
The unit is housed in a compact 1-U enclosure only 320 mm (335mm inc BNCs) in depth providing excellent packing density.
