PBE-980 - Sends XGA plus audio over structured cable

The Sourcerer PBE-980 can send VGA-type computer signals plus mono audio over CAT-5 UTP structured cable (and above) distances in excess of 100m, maintaining excellent signal quality and keeping degradation to a minimim. Both ends are powered.
The PBE-980 takes advantage of the widespread use of CAT-5 and structured cable for telecom and computer applications and avoids the need for costly and disruptive video and audio cable runs. Both UTP unshielded and STP shielded twisted pair CAT-5, CAT-5e, CAT-6, CAT-7 and even some CAT-3 cables are suitable.
The PBE-980 (Sender and Receiver) are both active devices (plug-top mains power supplies are included).
The PBE-980S (Sender) takes VGA computer video (RGBHV) plus a mono audio signal and provides two local buffered outputs of both VGA and audio for local monitoring and daisy-chaining for multi-destination applications, avoiding the need for an expensive splitter at the local end. There is an HD-15M connector (plug) for VGA input and HD15-F connectors (sockets) for VGA output together with 3.5mm mini jack sockets for audio inputs and outputs. A green LED indicates power and a yellow LED shows when there is a valid VGA input signal present.
The PBE-980R (Receiver) takes the signal on the CAT-5 / structured cable and provides 2 outputs of both VGA and audio which can be used for display or for daisy-chaining to further destinations. A small slide switch provides appropriate delay / equalization depending on distance. Housed in small strong metal cases, the PBE-980 boxes take up virtually no space and can easily be attached to the rear of monitors etc. There are HD15-F connectors (sockets) for VGA output together with 3.5mm mini jack sockets for audio outputs. A green LED indicates power and a yellow LED shows when there is a valid VGA input signal present on the structured cable (CAT-5).
Applications include information kiosks, call-centre screens, message screens, classrooms, auditoriums, monitoring stations, conference rooms, high resolution remote monitors, home theatre, video projection systems - not forgetting multi-screen VGA distribution of our V-400V.VGA NTP-locked VGA clocks (see the Time section of the website) which runs on a PC and provides analogue clock (with hands) plus digital time with or without date on TFT and plasma screens.
