The V-50/RLT RS-422 to LTC Timecode translator is part of our established range of versatile low-cost timecode products, housed in CE approved desktop metal cases, any 3 of which may be rackmounted using the V-RM50 rack adapter (available separately).
The V-50/RLT accepts RS-422 Timecode on a 9 Pin D Sub connector and outputs unbalanced LTC Timecode on an RCA / phono connector, genlocked to the video input. The RS-422 data is also passed through to a second 9 Pin D Sub. The translator works at all tape speeds and has forward-only or bidirectional LTC output (user-selectable). It also incorporates a -1 frame search offset for use at slow play speeds or still frame to remove the +1 frame offset added by downstream equipment. The user bits output in the LTC Timecode can be set by using the front panel controls of the V-50/RLT.
The V-50/RLI LTC/VITC to RS-422 Timecode translator is part of our established range of versatile low-cost timecode products, housed in CE approved desktop metal cases, any 3 of which may be rackmounted using the V-RM50 rack adapter (available separately).
The V-50/RLI reads both LTC and VITC (user selectable with automatic failover to VITC in the absence of LTC) at a wide range of tape speeds. In normal operation it responds to RS-422 Timecode requests and other commands, but also has a bypass mode where all RS-422 data is passed through directly from input to output 9 Pin D Sub ports. In the local mode, the V-50/RLI will emulate a VTR timecode output.
Please note that the V-50/RLI is compatible only with NTSC video systems.
